Minister’s appreciation

While the entire world is gearing up to welcome 2023,  Indian’s celebrations are big, always.

“International Year of Millets 2023” will be the centre stage throughout the year and also the “National Conference on Rural Development & Millet 2023” – scheduled on 20th & 21st January 2023 @ Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.  Both will be remembered by one and all in the food industry.

This conclave is jointly organized by “India Startup 360 & Millet Mart Ventures P Ltd”

This will not only be remembered, and also be appreciated.

Yes !

Millet Mart Ventures Pvt Ltd had received the most desired appreciation from Meenakashi Lekhi, Hon. Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, congratulating them for this initiative in promoting use of millets in line with policy of Government of India.

Mr. Parthasarathy Iyengar, CEO, Millet Mart Ventures Pvt Ltd – on his chat with “NNB News” said “our aim is to focus on different collaborative activities by bringing all stakeholders under single platform to promote the Millet Products Globally.  We offer consulting & mentoring for quality maturity and food audits.  We help them for new Franchise Opportunities and export tie up through our own partnership countries.  Through APEDA’s IYOM Road shows, their products can be showcased at various countries.   We will be joining APEDA in January 2023 Millet Mission in Belgium.  Our year long Free Virtual Stall and Networking Meetings with Global Buyers – are already a big hit with more people signing in.

“Flea Market”, which is part of our year long celebration, starts on 20th January 2023, aims to promote sustainable livelihoods for women & increase awareness about the importance of millet.  Any women entrepreneur can get International Market Connect in our Flea Market.  We also help them in end to end delivery arrangement from any part of India, which enhances & ensures very high sales.  Keeping in mind our main agenda of supporting Millets and millet people, we have kept our stall charges very low.”

India is the biggest produce of millets followed by Nigeria.  Millet contributes 10% to the country’s food basket.  Millets have been gazetted as “nutri-cereals” by the Central Government.  With U.N. General Assembly declaring 2023 as the “International Year of Millets”, there is a greater interest in reviving millets.

Yes !  The mission to mainstream millets has begun, but in order to make it truly mass, it is purely in the hands of individuals and their (healthy & nutritional) food eating habits.

Details on Flea Market can be got from Mr. Parthasarathy Iyengar, CEO, Millet Mart Ventures Pvt Ltd   (+91 74100 10020)
